Alert Setup

Three-step route: TradingView → Jimmy → TradersPost. Private strategy quick start: copy these exact TradingView settings, leave Message empty, keep the alert open-ended, then send one Paper Mode test alert.

Private strategy quick start

do this first

Open the private strategy we granted to your TradingView username. Use the exact fields below. Message stays empty because the private script sends the signal body to Jimmy.

  1. 01Pick the same strategy in My Jimmy.
  2. 02Open the matching private strategy on TradingView.
  3. 03Paste the full Jimmy webhook from TradingView Setup.
  4. 04Leave Message empty and select Alert Function Calls Only.
  5. 05Launch Jimmy in Paper Mode, then send one test alert.

Webhook URL: Provided by Jimmy. Do not paste JSON into Message for JimmyDesk private strategies. Use the Jimmy webhook from TradingView Setup, leave the message empty, and let the private TradingView script send alert function calls to Jimmy.
Alert name: none required. Expiration: open-ended. If the alert expires, Jimmy stops receiving signals from that TradingView strategy.

TradingView is the user-side price feed. The user must keep their TradingView alerts active. Keep your trading computer on at all trading times so Jimmy can stay connected and show fresh Paper Mode status.
